Falmouth Classics is a three day event of classic sailing craft and other traditional vessels, including pilot gigs and motor boats. A beautiful weekend of weather and boating was had by many, the sights that could be seen in and around Falmouth with all the boats, sails and dress-flags were views that could be stared at for days!
It began on Saturday morning for the Hardiesse team with the rowing and sculling races….. Mike did amazingly and brought home the winners cup for the sculling. The rowing went well (although could have been better)….. well done to the Grayhound crew!
On Sunday morning Hardiesse entered the parade of sail which took place out in the bay….. she (along with so many other vessels) made for a stunning sight….. a bit more wind would’ve been nice though!
The afternoon saw Bellatrix enter the small boat parade, very little wind made for a slow pace around the course but it was still fun and interesting to see the variety of boats under 20ft pottering about.
Thank you Falmouth for putting on such a spectacular show. Looking forward to next year already (and planning to maintain the sculling title and win the rowing)!
