The original Bellatrix was built locally by Pascoe’s Yard circa 1958. She was carried as a tender on the Falmouth Sail Training Ship of that time (Shearwater) and has gone on to be the tender to the current training ship, Hardiesse.
A 15 foot traditionally built replica was built in 2013 and is constructed of Larch on Oak. She lives on an outhaul mooring in Falmouth so that she is always afloat and ready for use. She can be used for sailing and can quite often be found rigged and sailing about on a Wednesday evening during club night.
